MILABS holds a portfolio of proprietary technologies whose primary focus is in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging, which is based on the award-winning detection and reconstruction technologies developed in collaboration with academic centers and industry.

These technologies and products enable researchers in academia, life sciences and pharmaceutical companies to significantly reduce research costs, and accelerate the development of new tracers and pharmaceuticals.

MILABS - USPECT

The U of U-SPECT stands for Ultra-fast, Ultra-sensitive, and Ultra-high resolution. The commercial version of U-SPECT can reach a resolution of 0.35 mm or can be operated in modes with a sensitivity that is comparable to PET.

Pinhole and Detector Technology

U-SPECT-II uses proven focusing pinhole technology, proprietary quantitative statistical reconstruction software and advanced digital gamma camera technology to acquire SPECT images with sub-mm resolution.

The combination of these advanced technologies result in unique new research and imaging possibilities that circumvent many of the limitations of current SPECT systems. Advantages of Stationary SPECT Imaging

U-SPECT-II systems are the first SPECT systems in the market based on stationary detector set-ups. The stationary set-up results into high mechanical stability of the system, low maintenance and high up-time.

Moreover it allows for 4D SPECT dynamic imaging with unsurpassed time resolution. Using MILABS proprietary technology, U-SPECT-II can be operated in total body and focused imaging in order to allow for optimal use of tracer dose.
